Green Table Cloth

This table cloth, my friend asked me to do it for him, as he wants to give his grandma as a gift. The color was choose by my mom and everyone liked it but I still don’t really get along with the color.. I don’t know, green is my fav but this mixture just don’t give the thumbs up thing, not sure why actually. 

The pattern is from a Chinese book which almost 30 years old and the book is good!!!! Seriously good! Its both crochet and knitting pattern. Just all kind of pattern and some project, in diagram! Good! The book says 880 and I’m assuming 880 patterns! I don’t know, I just asked my friend to translate it, so lets just wait and see what it say!

External Drive Cover

Well this is long promised gift for my brother. I am supposed to make it last year but I just don’t know. It was always pushed away! So this time I made it a point to finish it and I made it! I am telling u, I’m lazy! It’s a very very small project! Very! 16 cm x 13 cm! small! Okay, back to it, the yarn is from Germany, brother bought it when he was there, details on it, I was dumb then, threw the labels away when I rolled it into balls! Ignorant of a blank mind! The color is brilliant! Pattern, hmm just 'front post treble' crochet all around.

The Green Hornet Hat

Why with the name? I think because I did the hat during the time the movie came out and my friends were talking about it when I was doing this project. It suits the color of the hat, so just name it.

Yarns type- Floss Acryl from Ice yarns. Used 1 skein and pattern from Summer Slub Hat by Pierrot.

I’ll start with the bucket hat first. I got it this time! Pattern is from amicomo4-1_Bucket_Hat , posted by Da’Knit. Well, the yarns are Viscose Plus and Degas Cotton from Ice yarns which I bought from  http://yarnsonlineshop.com/ and I used 5mm hook. Pattern is easy but you must know to read chart. I felt the flower was harder to understand.. but eventually I modified the flower.

The poncho… pattern… none.. I didn’t even write it down.. but it is a increase in all the four angle. The collar was mere creation. I just needed it to be smaller to look like a collar and I added some edging. The yarns and hook size is the same as the hat above.

Divyesh’ Blankie!

At last I’ve finish making de blanket for my new born nephew! He is so adorable!!! Born on 19^th last month, I just saw him last weekend. The blanket is so huge for him though! Haha.. But he will get to use it later once he grown up! My aunty was thrilled with the blanket! She loved it.

                I started crocheting it on Feb this year. It took me this long cause I was doing it when I feel like to! Haha.. what do you expect with such a big project! This is the first time I crocheting anything this big!

Okay, for the details on the blankie- made of Simge from Ice yarns order from http://yarnsonlineshop.com.  Its super soft! Colors- dark blue, light blue n light green.  8 skeins of each, a total of 24 skeins. I used 2 threads together to crochet it to make the blanket thicker. Pattern was from Birdlebee's Granny Ripple by Birdlebee Williams. Easy to make… I change the boarder a bit. I don’t have enough yarns to finish the boarder. So if you are planning to do this pattern with this yarns, piece of advice- at least another 6 skeins more ( if u r using 2 threads together).

Past months projects!

Seriously I wanted to crochet the bucket hat DaKnit gave on Feb!! Seriously I wanted!! I have no idea why it just didn’t happen! I keep doing and undoing it, either it is too tight or too loose. At one point I just did as what I wanted and this want I got! It turned out pretty well but it is tight. I have to keep wearing it, and then it will get loose a bit. I used the Viscose Plus Lilac from Ice yarn which I bought from http://yarnsonlineshop.com/. The yarn is a bit rough and soft at the same time and is suitable for hats, begs… poncho.. I am not sure about scarf as I am a bit sensitive to yarns, I feel I would not be comfortable having them around my neck or as gloves or socks..

I did finish my postponed ‘Bear in a Jiff’ project and have already presented it to the right person! I used Minlon yarns, 3 strands as I wanted it to be thick and de bear to be big… its rough alright, would not be right for a just born baby but would be fine for grown children. I still have a whole bag of soft toy stuffing which I am not sure what to do with it. I am so lazy to do another amigurumi project so soon.

This footwear is freaking comfortable!!!! I love wearing it when the night is cold!! The purple color yarn is Filatura Di Crosa, Zara yarn. It so soft but very expensive here!! I bought only one skein thinking it would be enough but I could only do one side of the footwear! Went back to the shop to buy another skein, they have no stock and I have to go to KL to buy it!!! From Ipoh!!! Man!! My luck! So I decided to use some other stash yarn I had and crocheted the other side of the footwear! This pattern I took from “105-37 crochet slippers in double thread “Alpaca”by DROPS design. It pretty easy to do and took me around 4 hours to finish both.

This purse is mine! It is very easy to be done. Took the pattern from Lion Brand Perfect Purse and the yarns is DMC..Left over of another project I did earlier.

New Arrival!

Came back from work when I found out there is a package waiting for me in the post office. I was super duper excited! Its yarns! What you expect! Even thought it was raining cats n dogs, I went to the post office just to find 3 packages waiting for me!!! Even the postmen were asking me what is in it! Lol

Came back tear open the packages to find the lovely yarns in it… although some color was not up to my expectation but the rest equaled up to it!

Now short opinion on each of the yarns…

This is known as Soft Frilly ribbon yarn. It is rough yet soft and thick. The color is bright and happy looking. I bought this because I wanted to try some other type of yarns, n this is a ribbon yarn. Not sure what I can do with it thou… thinking about doing a fast scarf for myself.

This is Misc Sale yarn. I love the color. I love looking at the color! It is beautiful! It is my favourite among the whole lot of yarns due to the color. The yarn is flat and is 100% acrylic. I think I will make myself a lacey poncho with it!

This is Demet Wool. The yarn is so soft!

This is Floss Acryl. The yarn is shiny and looks plastically! It feels a bit rough and as its acrylic and VISCOSE, I can see why it looks like it! Seriously its shiny!!

This is Simge. This yarn is seriously satisfactory in term of color and the softness! I bought this yarn before but different color. A baby blanket is on the way with that.  Its freaking soft!!!

This is Degas Cotton. The color is brilliant but the yarn is rough and thin. I think I will knit scarf with these.

This is Partner Cotton. This is the yarn I dislike the color!!! Haha… I was expecting it to be light pink but it’s a bit striking. It is soft yes, but striking! For a gal that dislikes pink, this color surely make me hate pink even more!! Haha.. I want to mix this, the Demet, Floss and Simge and make it into a Sampler Throw from Redheartyarns!
